
GAFI CEO Meets with Indian Ambassador to Egypt to Discuss Enhancing Indian Investments in Egypt

Dr. Mohamed Awad, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), received Mr. Suresh K. Reddy, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Egypt, to discuss ways to enhance investment cooperation between Egypt and India and strengthen economic relations between the two countries, in a manner that contributes to increasing Indian investments in the Egyptian market.
Dr. Awad emphasized GAFI’s commitment to continuing its efforts to strengthen cooperation with the Indian business community, provide all forms of support, and capitalize on the promising investment opportunities available in the Egyptian market across priority sectors.
The meeting reviewed a number of investment opportunities and projects available in Egypt, while discussing mechanisms to support Indian companies operating in the Egyptian market and encourage them to expand their operations and inject new investments. The two sides also discussed enhancing partnerships between Egyptian and Indian companies in a manner that serves their mutual interests and supports increased investment and trade between the two countries.
For his part, Mr. Suresh K. Reddy, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Egypt, commitment to strengthening economic and investment cooperation with Egypt. He commended the promising opportunities offered by the Egyptian market to Indian companies and underscored the importance of maintaining coordination between the two sides to explore new investment opportunities and support the expansion of Indian companies in Egypt.
The two sides agreed to continue coordination during the coming period, exchange information on investment opportunities and priority projects, and strengthen communication between the business communities of the two countries, thereby supporting increased Indian investments in Egypt and opening up new avenues for economic and investment partnerships.
