GAFI CEO Discusses Expansion Opportunities in the Egyptian Market with CEO of Dubai Investments

As part of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade’s efforts and pursuant to the directives of Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, to promote Arab investments in Egypt, Dr. Mohamed Awad, GAFI CEO, met with H.E. Khalid Jassim Mohammed bin Kalban, Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Investments, in the presence of Ms. Manal Abdel Tawab, Minister Plenipotentiary and Head of the Egyptian Commercial Representation Office in the United Arab Emirates, to discuss the company’s investment expansion opportunities in the Egyptian market.
Dr. Mohamed Awad emphasized the importance of leveraging Dubai Investments’ extensive experience in developing projects, cities, and investment and industrial zones, noting GAFI’s commitment to providing investors with all necessary forms of support and facilitation and coordinating with the relevant government authorities to advance the investment opportunities under consideration to more advanced stages of implementation.
He added that the meeting addressed a number of projects and opportunities that the company had previously explored in Egypt, as well as mechanisms for completing the necessary studies and procedures in this regard. The discussions also covered the possibility of the company conducting field visits to a number of proposed investment sites to assess the available opportunities and explore the potential for implementing future projects.
For his part, H.E. Khalid Jassim Mohammed bin Kalban expressed Dubai Investments’ interest in strengthening its presence in the Egyptian market and capitalizing on the available investment opportunities, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination with GAFI and the relevant government authorities to assess the proposed projects and determine mechanisms for their implementation.
The two sides agreed to continue coordination during the coming period and explore a number of available investment opportunities.
