All GAFI services and digital platforms in one place to enhance the investor experience.
The portal features a smart, multilingual chatbot operating around the clock to support investors and answer their inquiries.
As part of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade’s (MIFT) efforts to enhance services provided to investors, advance digital transformation, and improve the quality of government services in a manner that contributes to improving the investment climate and strengthening Egypt’s competitiveness as an attractive investment destination, the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) has launched its new electronic portal, “gafi.gov.eg.”
The new portal has been designed as an integrated digital platform that enables investors to easily access investment-related information and services, thereby contributing to streamlining the investor journey, facilitating the completion of services, and providing access to investment data. The portal is supported by a smart, multilingual chatbot that operates around the clock to provide immediate assistance and answer investors’ inquiries related to company incorporation, procedures, incentives, investment facilitation measures, land available for investment, and other services provided by GAFI. This enhances the speed of access to information and improves the overall quality of the user experience.
Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh emphasized that the launch of the new e-portal comes as part of MIFT’s plan to modernize its digital services system and provide investors with a more efficient and seamless experience. He noted that the new portal brings together, on a single platform, all services and platforms affiliated with GAFI including e-services, Investors Services Centers (ISCs), free zones, investment zones, the Golden License, entrepreneurship and startup support services, and the Investor Care Unit. This enables investors to access a wide range of services through a single, integrated portal.
Dr. Mohamed Awad reviewed the portal’s services and the content it provides on Egypt’s investment climate, as well as the mechanisms for continuously updating data and legislation to ensure that local and foreign investors have access to accurate and up-to-date information. He affirmed that the new portal represents a major qualitative advancement in GAFI’s digital services system and will facilitate investors’ access to investment-related services and information, while supporting GAFI’s efforts to provide faster and more efficient services, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Egypt’s investment climate.
