Egypt is Paving the Way
Trade Hub & Modern Infrastructure

Modern Infrastructure and Advanced Transport Network

Egypt boasts modern infrastructure and an advanced transport network that together create a solid foundation for economic growth. The country has invested heavily in upgrading roads, railways, ports, and airports to facilitate smooth and efficient movement of goods and people across all regions. This well-developed transport system connects production areas with export gateways, ensuring timely delivery and enhancing trade competitiveness. By supporting logistics and supply chains, Egypt’s infrastructure plays a vital role in attracting investment and driving sustainable national development.

Transportation and Roads Network

Egypt has established a comprehensive national road network that spans across its governorates and is actively working to upgrade and enhance the quality of its roads to meet international standards. This aims to link the road network with the country's social and economic development plans, enhance opportunities for economic integration with neighboring countries along the main corridors between east and west and between north and south, and achieve the optimal utilization of Egypt's national wealth represented in mining and tourism areas.

Railways

Egypt's high-speed rail network has been established with a total length of approximately 2000 km. Additionally, efforts are underway to fully develop the entire railway system, which spans about 10,000 km. The system is being upgraded to reduce carbon emissions, having already achieved a reduction of around 20% compared to previous levels. There are also plans to increase this reduction further with the introduction of electric locomotives for freight transport.
